TAKE THIS JOB AND KEEP IT
nimbus makes its fourth annual Fringe Festival offering, Unemployable
June 22, 2004
Minneapolis, MN (June 22, 2004)-- Maybe you could fly a jet! Maybe you could be a vet. Maybe you could be write a book! Maybe you should be a crook! And maybe you don’t want to do anything but sit on the couch and watch Dr. Phil. No matter what your work or what you do to avoid working, Unemployable, the latest and greatest production from nimbus, will remind you why you do it. Unemployable, a new work by local playwright Dustin Hansen, follows the lives of two twenty-something art-slackers as they struggle to discover what they want to do, who they want to be, how they want to work—and find that they don’t know half as much about themselves or each other as they thought they did. Part slapstick, part romantic comedy, part surreal dream, Unemployable is ultimately a coming-of-age story. Of a man in a tutu. For this year’s nimbus offering to the Fringe, founding member and local playwright Cockroach takes over the director’s chair for a change. Hold on to your socks! Unemployable will be presented at In the Heart of the Beast Puppet & Mask Theatre as part of the Minneapolis Fringe Festival. The theatre is located at 1500 East Lake Street in Minneapolis. Performances are as follows: Sunday, Aug. 8—8:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 9—7:00 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 11—10:00 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 12—10:00 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 15—8:30 p.m. Tickets are $10.00. Tickets are available online at ticketworks.com or by calling Ticketworks at 612-343-3390 or 1-800-762-6353. Cast and crew interviews and preview arrangements can be made by contacting Julie Swenson, at ABBAS Public Relations: 952-593-5000 or firstname.lastname@example.org. nimbus was formed in 2001 by a band of Minneapolis misfits dedicated to producing new theatre that challenges, inspires, and saves them from boredom. To date nimbus has produced eight plays and currently operates out of a special \undisclosed location\" in Lowertown Saint Paul. "
